Megan has been working what is the equivalent of seven full-time jobs. She has been holding up better than I have, considering Chattababy is really beginning to challenge us and at times can wear us out with her squallin'. It would make sense that every now and again Meg is entitled to an evening out - movie and dinner type thing - and if i get to come along, than all the better. Last night she needed a break so I did what most caring partners would do. I hit some balls at the range - then called for a sitter while we made plans to escape. We'll call it a datescape...no, that sounds like a WHERE, not a WHAT. We'll call it a Wednesdate (a WHEN-WHAT). So on our Wednesdate we went to the new RAVE movie theater in East Ridge to see Be Cool. Not a particularly great film but gees what a theater complex. The wierd part was, amongst all the slickness. there was a staff that was friendly...and BAD! We found ourselves obsessing over the lack of production by the snack bar employees even though they were plentiful and as far as I can tell, very busy. Running around like carpenter ants - getting popcorn, nachos, drinks, loading the butter boiler, polishing the Mike & Ikes - you got it. The line wasn't moving. It was as if the food was eating itself...or the food and the drinks were eating and drinking each other...or the employees were eating and drinking the food and drink...or the popcorns were dissolved by the airborn RAVE-toxins. The latter is my theory, substantiated by the tiny ass kernels in our bucket. Seriously, we must have gotten the bottom of the P-Corn stash because we were chowing on some butter-crumbs. I loved it, though. Any situation, be it waiting eternally for Goobers or watching a sequel of a movie that wasn't good the first go-round, is heaven with my perfect baby-mama. Megan, thanks for fab Wednesdate and for being FLAMING HOT!!! You will always be the top of my P-corn stash.
